My visual art practice has an outdoor and indoor approach. My paintings outside begin on location. En plein air collaborating and co-creating with nature and the natural elements.  In my outdoor practice I am exploring what it means to adapt to the climate as an artist to produce works of art in conversation and collaboration with something completely beyond my control.

In my indoor practice I strive for my work to push boundaries in thinking, process and development. I paint as directly as possible and to not labor over any one part of the painting too much, especially early in the process.

Project: “Weather Dependent” 2022-2023

Weather Dependent is centered on the collaboration between the artist and the elements en plein air. All works are directly made with each of the elements that are in the field, wind, rain, sun, and then dried indoors slowly to allow for the elements to imprint on to the work.

All works are available, unless otherwise noted. Use contact form to inquire for more information.

Project: “Follow” 2020

¨Follow” builds on the color blocking and layering technique. Created during the Covid Pandemic and was influenced by the collective experience and the complexities of living in a new normal and the distance that was a part of it.
